The Story of PJ's Photographs.
I was born and raised in the beautiful town of Waco, Texas. I have always loved adventuring my city and meeting new people in our community.
I began my journey at the rise of the pandemic in 2020. I lost one of the most special people in my life to COVID-19. My beautiful grandmother Margarita Esperanza Castillo Rebollar passed on her birthday August 1, 2020. PJ's Photographs came to life because of her.
"We take photos are a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone."
After my grandmother's passing I found myself appreciating and admiring old photos collected in her beautiful home. I have now recently lost my sweet abuelito Wenceslao Rebollar Nunez on September 30, 2023. My heart aches at the fact that they are no longer here with me. The beauty of being able to look back at moments we shared together.. is what keeps the memory of them alive. The capability of making time stand still and recalling the joy, laughter, feeling their warmth, and remembering the endless love.
PJ's Photographs is a dedication to my Abuelitos. I lost the moment to say goodbye to my Abuela and was not ready to loose my Abuelo so soon. With these photos I have of them, it feels as if they are with me continuously. There isn't a day that goes by were I don't think of them.. I will always cherish these photos.
With PJ's Photographs I hope to capture return tickets for others.
Mis Amores Eternos.
About Me
I love nature and dream to travel to Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Orgeon, and any other place with a breathtaking view. If you know me, you know that I love to chase sunsets and roam in tall flower fields.
My first experience with a camera was when the pandemic arose and have not put it down since. My dream has always been to travel the world and share my experiences through images. I love people. I love to share stories about life. I love capturing souls in their natural essence.
I adore and love my family. I am the oldest of two boys and two girls. Most of my free time is spent with them. Without my families support, I wouldn't be standing where I am now. They've been dragged into decorating for my mini sessions, have carried my equipment, and have accomopanined me in my post session edit shenanigans at 2AM.
I am a first generation student. I have been working in the medical field for about 4 years now and currently continuing my education. I feel great appreciation for having the ability to serve my community. Having grandparents that only speak Spanish and parents who have no college background makes me feel proud to help others with similar backgrounds. I enjoy helping those who are not able to help themselves. Working in with our community member in our local hospital has changed me completely and has made me grateful for having the opportunity to do what I do.
I always notate a post:
"With much love and gratitude. -PJ"
because I will forever be grateful and I will always be full of love in every circumstance.
